Does Anyone In Australia Want a Free Python3 PyCon Tutorial?
Update : Feb 9, 2011: The tutorial is a go in Melbourne for Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2pm! Contact Steven.cyphers@gmail.com to RSVP.
Well, the title of this post just about says it all. I'm heading down under to do some Python training in Canberra, but I have a free weekend February 12-13, 2011. So, I'm wondering if anyone might have an interest in attending a free preview of my PyCon'2011 tutorial on Mastering Python 3 I/O. Here are the ground rules:
- You provide the space, supply a video projector, and deal with any logistics concerning the location.
- You tell me where it is.
- I show up.
- We have a great time talking about Python 3 for half a day.
- Beers to follow.
Although I'm staying in Canberra, I can travel anywhere nearby that is easy to get to by plane including Sydney and Melbourne (in fact, travel is preferable since I also want to play tourist). Send me an email if you're interested.
I'll cop it from Sydney-siders but I think if you want to play tourist that you will get more "wow" or interesting places, sights and things to do for your tourist side in Melbourne than in Sydney and for most things it won't cost as much as in Sydney either.
